  • A: The general case assumes no internal connections of windings, ie. an 8-lead/2-phase motor.
  • B: For 6-wire driver to 2-phase motors with 8-leads, the returns from motor windings 1&2 and 3&4 are combined.
  • C: For 8-wire driver to 2-phase motors with internal connection (6-lead), each half winding is considered separately, and each center tap is used for 2 windings as a common return at the driver.
