Hi Ron,Ben Franksen and Götz Pfeiffer came up with a bunch of excellent ideas for the next generation SNL lately. They did what I thought would be best in that phase: They started writing down their ideas and putting them onto the EPICSwiki.
So ... would you please have a look at their ideas (http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/wiki/index.php/V4_Replacement_for_SNL) and get in touch with them about how to coordinate further discussions and include whatever seems useful? I don't know if and how much time they can spare for development, but I'm sure they'd be willing to contribute in whatever way they can.
