What is new in 3.14.8 that requires new tests?

I have no idea - that's why I'm asking.
Device Support Extension Table? Simulation mode enhancements? Andrew's mail of Oct 25th gives a list of things that could go into 3.14.8, but I never really saw a final list. Might have missed it.

I agree that tests should be added for DSET and Simulation.

I will leave to to Andrew about where the tests should go.
