Gentlemen,You have both recently made available patches that build EPICS for a Linux-based ARM processor, for which I thank you. We haven't committed either of your sets of configure/os/CONFIG* files to CVS yet, and I don't think there's time to get them into the R3.14.8 release at this point.
I suspect that it should be possible to combine your efforts into a single target architecture, and I wonder if I could get the two of you to work on a patch to that effect, which I would like to include in a future R3.14.9 release of EPICS. I would prefer to use the generic name 'linux-arm' if a common target is possible; then if there are some optimizations that can be done for xscale processors then you might want to look at how we currently support a generic 'linux-x86' target and the optimized targets 'linux-386', 'linux-486', 'linux-586' etc.
