The fix for lp:1527636 was re-introducing lp:1580623,
a fact that was noted in the former but not in the latter issue. The latter issue was also not re-opened, so that this did not get the attention it should have had.
The commit of February 2017 fixes the reintroduced bug.
When Andrew is back at work, I am sure he will take care of adding this to the appropriate "Known Issues" page.
(Lab policies to not allow any non-APS web maintainers.)
