Interesting question that just came up:Is it possible (maybe with the cmake approach that I remember Martin and/or Michael using) to build the pvData/pvAccess C++ libraries completely separate, i.e. without linking to or having EPICS Base around?
Background:ITER's Real-Time Framework (RTF) that will be running the plasma control system is classified as software integrity level 1 (SWIL-1), requiring it among other stuff to adhere to the HIC++ standard and provide pretty good test coverage (>95%).Now the RTF wants to use PVAccess as transport layer for configuration, slow control and monitoring. This would obviously pull the PVA source code into the SWIL-1 scope. Will we be able to keep the rest of EPICS Base out of this?
Thanks for any insights.~Ralph
