The ‘make -C <directory> clean’ option does a clean in iocBoot and its subdirectories only. If you know which IOC has been deleted you could do ‘make -C <iocBoot/iocxxx clean’ which would only clean up that directory and wouldn’t affect any other IOCs.
As Michael just posted, I didn’t say ‘make distclean’, and even doing a ‘make clean’ from the top wouldn’t delete your install directories (bin, lib, did, db etc.) although it does remove generated files from the iocBoot directories; that’s inconsistent though
and we should probably fix it.
