We are ready for anyone brave enough to start beta testing the version of base that replaces default.dctsdr by all ascii files. This release has passed all the tests I normally run for new releases. Janet has not had time to run all of her tests but it has passed the ones she did run. Things are looking very promising. Note that NO Application Source Release system has been upgraded to take advantage of the new flexibility available. I have updated the notes describing the new changes to include some brief release notes. It is in the usual place under the EPICS doc available via the WWW at APS. APS Overview EPICS INFO Work in Progress Database Changes Janet has created a beta release (Base only) available via password protected ftp in the beta directory.
