Hi Jon, all I remember in this conversion business is a talk by Joan Sage (JLab) at the EPICS collaboration meeting which was held there in November 2002: http://www.jlab.org/intralab/calendar/archive02/epics/talks/sage1.pdf but this is about MEDM to EDM conversion. Still probably as close as you can get. If she doesn't know ... I don't know. Who knows?
