Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
Hi,
Some various points concerning the use of Irmis :
- When I run several times the pv-crawler with --force option, it adds
new lines into the ioc_boot table so that when searching through the
idt:pv within the history mode, the same boot date appears several times
although I think that it should appear only once. Am I right and, if so,
is there a way to avoid that ?
- If I move one PV from one IOC to another one, having done that the PV
info is ok but the boot history still lists the history for both the
IOCs where the PV is currently assigned (that's right) and also the one
where the PV was previously installed. I don't think this is correct ?
- The pv-crawler does not detect if one PV is used in several IOCs.
Although I could have a small SQL script detecting these mistakes, is
there an other way to avoid that ?
- Did someone wrote a crawler for EDM clients (not MEDM). I suspect (not
having yet watch at this point) that it should be different from the adl
crawler from the Irmis package ?
