I'm working with NetBSD, and when I generate an IOC, the shell I get doesn't handle command history, or arrow commands.

There are three possible input mechanisms. The selection is made by the build system COMMANDLINE_LIBRARY value, which may be EPICS (the simplest in that it needs no additional external libraries, but provides no command-line editing or history), READLINE (which uses the GNU readline library), or TECLA (which uses the tecla library). Have a look in <base>/configure/os/ for some examples.

Am I missing a library (like GNUreadLine)?
