Subject: | Indices returned by asynPortDriver::createParam |

Hi all, There seems to be an implicit assumption (at least in the areaDetector drivers I've looked at) that the indices returned by calls to createParam will be sequential. (To test whether a parameter 'belongs' to a driver, its index is tested to see if it lies in the range [index returned by first call, index returned by final call] inclusive. createParam is not documented as far as I can tell ("it's not a public member of the class"), so is it safe to assume this behaviour? Thanks Phil --
