Hi Rory, The Microvision 2 RGA (MV2) understands a set of ASCII commands specified in the MKS documentation. Do you have the documentation and are you aware of the commands? We have an EPICS support module for the MV2, including an asyn driver, which is deployed on a number of beamlines. I can send you some code for this. The ASCII commands are straightforward and the device can be controlled easily through telnet for experimentation. [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Hello, I am trying to figure out how control a Microvision 2 RGA with EPICS. This unit has an Ethernet interface but no obvious API. I understand that Microvision 2 units have been connected to EPICS at Diamond directly through their Ethernet
without using a PC running MKS’s Process Eye. Any help with this would be appreciated. Regards, Rory Clarke Rory Clarke Electrical and Controls Systems Group Daresbury Laboratory Keckwick Lane
