I just tried it and it worked OK for me.

I think you may just be running it incorrectly. Here is how to do it:

cd to modbus/iocBoot/iocTest.

type this command:

../../bin/linux-x86/modbusApp sim3.cmd

That should work, the testModbusSyncIOConfigure should be recognized at that point.

You may get a number of error messages like this if you don't have a Modbus device or simulator that it can connect to.

2016/04/08 07:16:29.631 drvModbusAsyn::doModbusIO port A0_Out_Word error calling writeRead, error=asynManager::queueLockPort queueRequest failed: port sim1 not connected, nwrite=0/6, nread=0

Subject: modbus TCP command not found

Hello!

I am having some problems with my epics program...

I am currently working with modbus TCP (https://github.com/epics-modules/modbus/), so when trying to run the modbus example I get the following error:

"sim3.cmd line 40: Command testModbusSyncIOConfigure not found."

- To try yourself: What I am doing is that with the bin generated with the makefile avaliable at "/modbus/bin/linux-x86/modbusApp" I run sim3.cdm avaliable "/modbus/iocBoot/sim3.cmd", like:

$ ./modbusApp sim3.cmd

- What I think it is happening: at the source files "/modbus/modbusApp/src" there is a CC program that is the test I want to try. In testModbusSyncIO.cpp the function is defined so later sim3.cmd calls it with its arguments. This is what I want to do in my program, I just cant make the example to work.

Can someone help me? :)
