I installed via makefile in medm.

and I'm running on 64-bit Linux.

[anothel@localhost src]# file /usr/bin/medm
/usr/bin/medm: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), 
dynamically linked, for GNU/Linux 2.6.9, not stripped
[anothel@localhost src]#
