Hi Anton, I guess you’re running pvaSrv/testTop. Your pvput command is completely correct. The problem is that pvaSrv doesn’t support putting to fields other than value (or value.index for enums). The second problem is that I’ve checked the code and display.description is never filled in with anything (and never has been). The other fields of display are filled in correctly, so you can put to them by putting to the appropriate record field. So you can do this, for example: $ pvput float03.LOPR 2 $ pvget -r "display.limitLow" float03 float03 structure structure display double limitLow 2 Dave From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]
On Behalf Of Mezger Anton Christian (PSI) Hi, trying to set a description with pvput pvput –r “field(display.description)” float03 “hello” I get the message [ChannelPutRequesterImpl] message[Logic Error unknown field to put, error) However this field exist and is seen by pvget What am I doing wrong again? Regards Anton
