Hi,
What is the period, duration and allowable jitter on the input trigger signal?
The reason I ask is that the Zebra, PandA (https://quantumdetectors.com/n/products/pandabox/) and possibly softGlue register input signals using an internal clock (50MHz for Zebra, 125MHz for PandA).
This means that a jitter of up to the clock period will be applied if the trigger source is not synchronous with the FPGA's clock source. This won't impact slow signals, but if you are trying to synchronize a laser with a bunch pattern then nanoseconds of
jitter matter.
On the plus side, if you are looking at delays which are multiples of the FPGA clock period then Zebra, PandA and probably softGlue can also give you this functionality without needing the DG645...
Thanks,
Tom

I am looking for some suggestions for a device that would let me (through epics) choose between different sources of pulse triggers. In our beamline, we have a delay generator (DG645) from SRS to synchronize multiple devices during acquisition with 1 input and 4 outputs. Since we have different devices that act as trigger source on different experiments, our solution now is to change cables that connects to our single input of the delay generator. Is there a device with EPICS support that would allow me to manage this triggering source? Thank you.
