GDCT is graphical tool for creating EPICS databases. Although still in use, it is not ideal for designs involving large numbers of records as it only gives a single flat view of the database being worked on. Use VDCT instead for new projects. To help in converting to VDCT, an item has been added to the the file menu in GDCT Version 1.3 to save the data as a VDCT file. See the revised manual for more details.

GDCT uses a now obsolete library package called Interviews to handle the graphics. A free version of Interviews used to be available, but has been lost, and this software is probably unusable now anyway.
