Frequency Archiver - Performance Numbers

On a SPARC 10 running the freq_arch
an archive set with 1,000 channels
channels archived every .5 second
channels scanned at 2 Hz - (every monitor is written to disk)
2,000 monitors per second
flush circular buffer to disk every 30 seconds
SPARC CPU utilization <25%
No Data Lost
Same test as above with
channels scanned at 10 Hz (every 5th monitor is written to disk)
10,000 monitors per second
Some data was lost
More performance tests need to be made to fully characterize the bottlenecks and the degradation modes
