arAccessLib.c performance

Yet another question regarding arAccessLib.c:

Are there any performance numbers using this library for archiving on
the IOC?  I've found that with the NI cpu-030 slot 0 controller, I
can archive 32000 samples in 15 seconds.  Taking overhead for each
sample into account, I get approx. 450 KB/s to disk.  Part of this
low throughput is attributed to our slow SCSI device (approx 800KB/s) but
I'm still only getting 60% of this.

This test was run with no record processing or any other significant process.
