Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
A few weeks ago there was a request for information about a Fortran
interface for the Channel Access Library. I have developed interface routines
for use in the upgrade of the Protron Storage Ring (PSR) control system at the
Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE). Development of these routines
required much consultation with Jeff Hill; many thanks Jeff!
Interfaces to the following Channel Access routines were implemented:
ca_task_initialize()
ca_search_and_connect ()
ca_array_put()
ca_array_get_callback()
ca_add_masked_array_event()
ca_pend()
ca_flush_io()
ca_add_exception_event()
A number of other routines (eg. ca_put) were not implemented because they are C
macros.
The following utility routines were implemented:
output_message() (an interface to ca_message)
connection_handler()
exception_handler()
get_handler()
monitor_handler()
Finally a procedure was developed to generate Fortran Include files
for ECA_, DBR_ and DBE_ parameters from the Channel Access .h files .
If you wish documentation on these routines, send e-mail to
[email protected].
