And... at CFHT we are beginning to start develop support
for RS-232,RS-422, and RS-485 IP modules mounted on a GreenSprings
VIPC 610 carrier board. Each module can carry upto 8 channels. This is
also a very cost-effective solution.
We will use drvIpac from RGO for the management of the carrier
board and (thanks to Jim Kowalkowski) will use the device drivers from
HiDEOS that do the UART setup and basic I/O for these serial
modules. We will have applications based on this software fielded by
February 1997.
