We have been trying to set up a new Solaris machine to run CA clients (MEDM and TCL/Tk) here. This is the first Solaris machine that we have done and There appears to be a problem somewhere along the line in the system setup. When we initialize the clients it takes a very long time to establish all the connections. The new machine takes a minute or two while the older SunOS system has screens up instantly in comparison. One item of note is that we did not get any connections at all until we added the IOCs to the hosts file. Anyone got an idea where the slowdown is.
