I would just like to point out that EPICS R3.13 supports a new "CPP"
input link attribute which says "make a link a CA link and process a
passive record whenever the referenced channel delivers a CA monitor".
This is very powerful (you can use it on _any_ input link) and has
replaced our use of the wait record.
