Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
Hi,
I'm very pleased to report status of KEKB accelerator commissioning to
EPICS community. KEKB is an asymmetric electron-positron collider build in
Japan. It is the first accelerator controlled by EPICS toolkit in KEK,
Japan.
KEKB starts its commissioning at the beginning of last December,
and succeeded to store electron beam in HER(High Energy Ring)
before year end. We restarted the machine operation after new year holidays
and injected positron beam in to the LER(Low Energy Ring) (Note:KEKB has
two rings , HER operated at 8GeV and LER operated at 3.5 GeV).
Last week, we have observer the indication of the interaction
between electron beam and positron beam at the interaction point.

Here, I would like to express my appreciation for EPICS software and
many helps from the EPICS community.
With Many thanks ,
Noboru Yamamoto
