This is even older, but I never put it out on tech-talk.

The SLS test stand is a 50 MeV electron machine to test RF, beam diagnostic, 
and undulator components for the Swiss Light Source. The rf gun, acceleratinbg 
cavity and beam guidance system have been successfully operated to full 
energy, using the EPICS control system.  This was a 1-person effort, spread 
over ~2 years, and could not have been successful without the tremendous 
support of the EPICS community.

The EPICS control system has subsequently been adopted as the control system 
for the Swiss Light Source, now under construction.
