Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
To users of the Channel Archiver,
I am interested in hearing about any custom LibIO
applications.
At the Sloan Digital Sky Survey we archive only 540 channels
but generate 150Mb of files per day. Casual users still
work with the CGIBin interface - although the menus get
lengthy due to switching archival directories every day.
Our engineering staff uses combinations of the ArchiveExport
program and the casiwish scripting environment (with Tcl)
- although complains that the latter can be quite slow.
So any new applications we would build would be directly on
top of LibIO (i.e. not as Tcl applications).
Thanks,
Peregrine
