Subject: building medm on RH9/RH Motif

Ran into a curious/painful situation where medm would build ok on one RH9 box but not on another RH9 box. The linker was complaining about undefined __ctype_b and __ctype_tolower. Originally it looked like the problems were in libca and libCom, but it turns that was a red-herring. The problem was that on one box /usr/X11R6/lib//libXm.so was a softlink to libXm.so.2.1 And on the other box [the one that linked successfully] had: libXm.so -> libXm.so.3.0.1

Both motif's were installed from the same CD, yet the links ended up differently.....summary if you get __ctype_b or __ctype_tolower undefines check your X libraries....
