Motor Record users,
There is a problem with the Oregon Micro Systems (OMS) VX2-006 ver 1.04 motor controller boards. The interrupt control register is not cleared when the VX2 receives a SYSRESET. This results in an IOC crash at boot-up if more than one VX2 controller board is configured in the same VME crate.
OMS has been notified and is working on the problem; but to date, it has not been resolved. I will post a notice here when it is resolved.
Regards, Ron Sluiter
I sent the above message out to tech-talk earlier this year (02/27/04). OMS has recently resolved this problem with it's "ver 1.05 " firmware update.
