This is one of the reasons I am sticking with Solaris for most of my EPICS
related workstations. Having to upgrade the OS on key systems that
frequently is just not practical.

For the few linux EPICS systems I am using, I'm currently using CentOS 3.3
(www.centos.org) which is a RHEL rebuild.
