In Redhat 7.2 libXm.so.2 is provided by the lesstif-0.92.32-6.i386.rpmMe, too. I found so a while ago running medm.
package and no libXm.so.3 library file is provided by default. However I
have found this version of lesstif to be flakey
However, I tried another PC (RedHat7.2, openmotif-2.1.30-8)
which supplied libXm.so.2. I go error message:
/ade/epics/supTop/extensions/R3.14.0beta1/lib/linux-x86/lib605432d2-f29d-11d2-973b-00104b8742df.so:
undefined symbol: createWidgets__18activeGraphicClass
However, it seems all the listed dependencies are installed
by verifying : ldd lib605432d2-f29d-11d2-973b-00104b8742df.so
We have been running medm on both PCs happily for years. It
is nice that edm provides extra capabilities. If I know
what
platform edm was tested, it will help me to identify
what steps I missed.
Thanks,
Kate
and would recommend to
remove it and replace it with the Redhat 7.3 openmotif-2.2.2-5.i386.rpm,
openmotif-devel-2.2.2-5.i386.rpm and openmotif21-2.1.30-1.i386.rpm
packages. The openmotif package provides the libXm.so.3 library while
the openmotif21 package provides the libXm.so.2 library.
