[...]Did you look at the CMLOG package from JLab? It is a lot more generic and powerful than a text file, it does have a smart client, and it is supported for logging from the IOC as well as from the Alarm Handler.
4. Of course, I don't refuse to see a little smart client for text file.
Where I can choice message by ioc name, system/subsystem/module name and
so on. And maybe it will work from buffer ... :-)
