Hi Marty,
Greetings from Melbourne. I have some asyn build questions for you
please …
I am trying to build asyn-4.0 under EPICS 3.14.6 on Windows XP
(win32-x86) with the Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 compiler. Neither
the Cygwin environment nor the GNU C libraries are installed. EPICS
3.14.6 compiles successfully.
When running an asyn “make”, I get an error originating from the unit
asyn/drvAsynSerial/drvAsynSerialPort.c
… fatal error C1083: cannot open include file ‘termios.h’: No such
file or directory
I assume termios.h is actually part of the GNU C library as that file
exists on our Linux boxes in /usr/include.
Q: Is the GNU C library required for building asyn? (I could not find
a reference to this in the documentation)
Q: Am I restricted to building asyn under the Cygwin environment on a
Windows box?
Q: Can asyn build under plain Windows XP and the Microsoft compiler?
Thanks for your time,
Mark Bennett
