After 39 1/2 years of service at Argonne (16 of which were devoted to EPICS development), Marty Kraimer has decided to "retire"* from his current position at Argonne. His last day at Argonne will be February 1st, 2006.
Marty's "Reminiscing and Appreciation" dinner will be held at the Argonne Guest House on Friday, January 27th. If you will be in the Chicago area and would like to attend, I can send you more details. If you would like to contribute a personal statement of appreciation for Marty that will be read at the dinner, forward it to Debby Quock ([email protected]).
I'm sure you would agree that Marty's contributions to the world-wide controls community meet all "Controls Hall of Fame" criteria. Please find a way of expressing your own gratitude to him as his last day approaches.
* Officially, Marty is retiring from Argonne, but we all know that this does not mean Marty is retiring from work.
