Regards Matthias
I have just discovered that the next meeting of both EPICS and HEPiX are at DESY during the week of 23-27 April this year. (HEPiX are IT system support engineers from the High Energy Physics laboratories and institutes, such as BNL, CERN, DESY, FNAL, IN2P3, INFN, JLAB, NIKHEF, RAL, SLAC, TRIUMF and others) I assume this is a co-incidence, but has anyone given any thought to arranging some overlap sessions (maybe in a bar, maybe in a meeting room, maybe as a group, maybe on an individual by individual basis)?
My slant is that we are getting more and more interest in doing compute intensive processing on the synchrotron data (with tomography and MX leading the way at Diamond) and so some members of our community may have overlapping interests with them. Diamond, for one, may have attendees in both camps.
Cheers
