Then there are the remaining 10% who deal with vacuum readings and want exponential notation, or other cases where the meta data received via ChannelAccess is insufficient.
we got past that one by using logarithms :-) Works for us (currently reading 6.9e-08 mbar on one of the channels.) In most cases all you really need to provide to the user is trends.
