There is a page on the EPICS Wiki that discusses exactly this:

It is fairly recent so it shouldn't be too inaccurate - the overall 
approach is certainly the same, although there now may be a bit more 
libCom/osi/os stuff to do relating to endian conversions than there was 
when I wrote it.  Please let me know what if anything needs changing in 
the document.

I've not hear of anyone working on that - it's a completely new CPU 
architecture from what I read on Wikipedia.  If you get it working, 
please send me the changes and I'll make sure they get into CVS and the 
next release of Base.  What OS will you be using?
