Hello Peter,
My experience with PI motor controllers is that
although different models are similar, they
are not close enough to have one device driver
support several models.
My opinion is that it is not likely that the
C-862 driver will support the C-863, but the
only way to know for sure is to try it.
If you do try it, let me know the results.

I have a PI C-863 Mercury motor controller

that I would like to control from epics.
I notice the motor record support includes a bunch of drvPIC862
files. Does anyone know if this will drive the C-863? The 862 was
replaced by the 863, is there much/any difference?
