Hi:
Steve Hartman and Jeff both found the reason for the exception in
dbChannelIO.cpp:
void dbChannelIO::write ( . . .)
{
...
int status = db_put_field ( &this->addr, type, pValue,
static_cast <long> (count) );
if ( status ) {
throw std::logic_error (
"db_put_field() completed unsuccessfully" );
}
}
However, that exception should be caught by the generic "catch ( ... )" in
ca/oldChannelNotify.cpp line 522.
None of the affected code seems to have changed from R3.14.8.2 to R3.14.11,
so there seems to be no fundamental problem in the code.
Instead, we might be looking at another C++ feature specific to vxWorks 6.7
compiler, or maybe as Jeff suggests it's an issue with the compiler flags
when building the sequencer code.
Thanks,
Kay
