No you don't need anything, monitors are just matter of creating the channel with the factory, and then subscribe to the events as shown in the web page (http://gfa-it.web.psi.ch/epicsSharp/index.php?site=examples).

If you need to access the channels via some gateway or others then you will have either to configure your EpicsClient inside the code or provide the app.config
