Hi all,the DESY Island version of CSS indeed includes an SNL editor (thanks Kay). But the CSS Island download was said to be currently broken, we will look into this, provide an update within a few days and give notice. On Linux it is also possible to integrate the SNL compiler into CSS, however, this is not in use at DESY as developers are working on Windows machines.
Up to my best knowledge the syntax is hard coded, so it is not a simple matter of configuration to switch to another SNL language version.
Currently we are doing work to catch up with the most recent SNL version. This will eventually force us to change SNL syntax parsing. If other parties are interested in this development, you may send an email to me directly. We plan to update the SNL editor in October, so suggestions / comments are welcome.

See https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/cs-studio/wiki/CompareProducts for comparison of products, https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/cs-studio/wiki/SnlEditor for more on the SNL editor. Like all of CSS, the associated sources are in the CSS repository, and you can build a product for your site that includes the SNL editor. ITER for example also includes the SNL editor, see "CSS at ITER" talk from 2010 EPICS meeting at Aix-en-Provence, France.Hi Kay Thanks for the links. Is the syntax highlighting hard coded or is there a configuration file? In the latter case, would you think it a good idea if the sequencer project provided such file? There have been some additions in version 2.1 and 2.2 will bring some more. This would make it easier for users to have the highlighting correspond to which version they use.
