*2012A snapshot release

In order to facilitate future updates a snapshot of present package 
versions has been created.  This is intended for use by production 
systems and will see only bug fixes and similarly important updates.  
For systems which don't have this requirement, or which want the latest 
versions, no change is needed

To use the snapshot, edit /etc/apt/sources.list and replace

> deb http://epics.nsls2.bnl.gov/debian squeeze main contrib
> deb http://epics.nsls2.bnl.gov/debian squeeze/staging main contrib

with

> deb http://epics.nsls2.bnl.gov/debian squeeze/2012A main contrib
> deb http://epics.nsls2.bnl.gov/debian squeeze/2012A-updates main contrib

This is the version we intend to use for NSLS2 production systems so it 
will likely be supported for some time.  Exactly how long will depend on 
the project installation schedule and the timing of the debian 7.0 
(wheezy) release.  At least a year though.

I will begin pushing updates to the main repository in two weeks (17 
Sept).  Please switch any production systems to the snapshot release 
before this time.

* lenny (debian 5.0) support ends

The repository will remain available, but no more updates will be made 
(including bug fixes).  Anyone still using 5.0 is encouraged to upgrade.

* upcoming wheezy (debian 7.0) support

The plan is to begin building for this version after the official 
release announcement.
