Hello All, I wonder if anyone has written software for this device. I want to use the Ethernet interface that the device is equipped with. I started writing an asynPortDriver class support for it and I am running into all kind of difficulties. Many perfectly good commands put the device in a strange state, where the remote interface in it seems to go dead. I found a Note in the programmer manual which says: When TRIG:SOUR is INT1, INT2 or EXT and a new acquisition has been initiated (using the INIT command for example), FETCH? waits until the trigger takes place before executing. If trigger conditions are not satisfied - when the trigger level differs greatly from the signal level for example - this can give the impression that the power meter has hung. To unlock the power meter and adjust trigger settings, an SDC (Selected Device Clear) GPIB Command must be performed. This is equivalent to “EXECUTE CLEAR” in Agilent VEE. Which is probably what is getting me. The only way I can get the instrument out of this is to power cycle it. Thanks, Zen |
