I assume that's the issue.
What version of the IDE are you using, or more to the point: What's the
target platform in case you're not using the IDE as the target platform?
When you're using Eclipse 3.7.2 and the SNS 3.1.2 source snapshot, you
should be fine.
With other combinations,

Yes, fundamentally you have to look for each error and figure it out.

The SNS source snapshot for CSS 3.1.2 for example,
https://ics-web.sns.ornl.gov/css/products.html, supports Eclipse 3.7.2 as
a target platform.
If you have different sources or a different target platform, you can try
to resolve the plugin dependencies as described in Fix Dependencies on
http://cs-studio.sourceforge.net/docbook/ch15.html, but that is tedious.
Overall it's best to start with a matching set of sources and Eclipse IDE.
