Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
Hi:
Did you try the “ArchiveDataServerStandalone” as described in section 4.3.5 of http://ics-web.sns.ornl.gov/kasemir/archiver/manual.pdf with the DemoData directory?
That directory contains an example setup which includes abyss.conf and an abyss/ subdir with mime.types etc.
Once that works, follow the manual directions:
"..copy all “abys*” files and directories from there <meaning: DemoData directory> into the directory where you intend to run the standalone data serve"
That way, you should have the abyss/mine.types file in the right place.
Thanks,
Kay

Subject: Can't read MIME Types file
Hi all,
I have a linux box running 2.6.18-274 with epics 3.14.11.
I'm attempting to use the Channel Archiver stand alone abyss web server. Using
the ThirdParty software, I successfully built everything that I need (I think). Yet
when I attempt to start the stand alone data server, I get the error message:
"Can't read MIME Types file 'abyss/mime.types'
This is simply an ascii file. It exists and has similar permissions to other builds that
I have. Any ideas on this?
BTW, this is a separate thread than my 32bit to 64bit question. I urgently need this
information, so I'm trying on another machine for the moment.
Pierrick
