Hi, At Diamond we monitor all of our PSS signals via the VME interface on our Logic solvers. The only thing we can control is the RESET on our latches, so EPICS (or anything else) can’t influence the safety of the logic solver. We work to EN
61508 which would require us to apply software design and lifecycle controls to EPICS. I think this is hard enough for safety PLCs and I can’t imagine doing it for EPICS. Feel free to contact me on other safety issues directly Martin Wilson
