Dear folks,

synApps 5.8 is available from the synApps web site, http://www.aps.anl.gov/bcda/synApps/index.php.

This version of synApps works best with EPICS 3.14.12.5 and recent 3.15.  Earlier versions will work, though some new features will not be useable (autosaveBuild needs dbLoadRecordsHook), or will work somewhat less well (caputRecorder can take advantage of asTrapWriteWithData).  This version builds with vxWorks 6.9 - preferably 6.9.4.1, because of a problem appending to NFS files in earlier versions of 6.9.

New modules: alive, caputRecorder.
