In the UI I'm currently working on, I wanted to give the user the option to run a python script that will help with darkfield correction. In order to run the batch file, I'd planned on using either the caScriptButton or the caShellCommand; however, when directing the relevant fields to the batch file there was no result.
I have tried the following:
caScriptButton:
No result
1) scriptCommand C:\\path\\to\\cmd.exe 'C:\\test.bat'
scriptParameter
No result
2) scriptCommand C:\\path\\to\\cmd.exe
scriptParameter 'C:\\test.bat'
Opened console with path set to location of .ui file; batch path not inputted
3) scriptCommand C:\\path\\to\\console.exe
scriptParameter 'C:\\test.bat'
...other variations (including python.exe to .py script)
caShellCommand:
No result
1) files C:\\test.bat
args
No result
2) files C:\\path\\to\\cmd.exe
args C:\\test.bat
Opened console with path set to location of .ui file; batch path not inputted
3) files C:\\path\\to\\console.exe
args C:\\test.bat
Opened Notepad, printed out the contents from within the test.bat file
4) files notepad.exe
args C:\\test.bat
...other variations (including python.exe to .py script)
**All paths to the test.bat used quotes/no quotes interchangeably
I'm still relatively new to the CAQTDM neighborhood, so any help would be appreciated!
Best,
