You should use the sseq record from synApps. It has the features you are looking for.

Subject: help with SEQ record
Hi
I would like to process 3 records in a sequence, using a global SEQ
sequence record.
Each of these 3 records is doing some action (basically moving step
moors, communication using Streamdevice).
Each of these three records alone stays ACTive, until the individual
motor has stopped, since the protocol is waiting for an acknowledge byte.
Before processing the next record by the SEQ record, i would like to
wait until the previous record has stopped Processing (ie motor has
stopped).
However, it looks like, the SEQ record just processes all three records
without delay, not waiting fot the individual records PROC flag to
become false.
How can i change this ?
Or is there an easier way to do such sequential processing without
overlap of individual record processing ???
Any help greatly welcome !
Best regards,
Christian
