Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
I am posting this to tech-talk because it is bouncing when I sent it directly to the recipient at Tsinghua University. Hopefully they will see it on tech-talk and also fix the e-mail problem at their end.

Hi,

No, when you set Acquire to zero the IOC tells the camera to stop sending images.

I would recommend running each camera in its own IOC. These can be on the same computer.

I have not seen that problem. If you power-cycle the camera will the IOC find it then?
I tried to send you messages last week but they kept being rejected on your end.

Subject: PointGrey's image is always black
Hi ,Mark
My camera is working now ! Thank you !The image was black because the EPICS_
But I still have three questions.
First, when I set 13PG1:cam1:Acquire to zero, OPI stopped getting picture from IOC. But is IOC still getting pictures from the camera at this time?
Second, how to modify the IOC to have two or even more cameras to work at the same time?
Third, sometimes the IOC might disconnect with the camera with no reason. It just disconnected , and when I restart the IOC , it says :
pointGreyConfig("PG1", 15287716, 0x1, 1)
2016/04/07 11:04:04.227 pointGrey:connectCamera: no cameras found
2016/04/07 11:04:04.227 pointGrey:connectCamera: ERROR calling GetCameraFromSerialNumber Type=19 Description=Failed to get the camera from the serial number.
2016/04/07 11:04:04.227 pointGrey:pointGrey: camera connection failed (3)
Number of cameras detected: 0
2016/04/07 11:04:04.229 pointGrey:connectCamera: no cameras found
2016/04/07 11:04:04.229 pointGrey:connectCamera: ERROR calling GetCameraFromSerialNumber Type=19 Description=Failed to get the camera from the serial number.
2016/04/07 11:04:04.229 pointGrey::report error calling connectCamera()
Supported properties
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
But when I start flycap ,the camera is function well and IOC will also function well just after closing flycap . I have set Packet size to 1440 and Packet Delay to 600 . I think it's big enough.
